This set is the perfect size for smaller batches of preserves and jams. I used it for some apple butter and it is so much more manageable than my big, bulky canning sets. It's easy to use, fits easily on my stove top and can be used for multiple different applications. The funnel and jars made it easy to use - along with the pour spout on the side of the stock pot. This would also be great to use for chili, bean soup, or to carry ice. It heated up evenly - just make sure you have pot holders when you are pouring from it.

We discovered a farm nearby which allows you to pick your own berries, so we got this little set to help preserve them. I had never tried preserving fruits before, and I found this set to be very straight forward and easy to use. Our household has assorted food allergies, so we've been moving towards preserving our own foods so we can control the contents. We could definitely use more of the cute little jam pots- a link on the page would be helpful. I particularly like the way the boiling pot handles are configured for pouring into your storage containers, and the included funnel is very handy. I would suggest, however, you not fill the pot more than 3/4 full, as after that it becomes a bit unwieldy, and spilling hot sugary jam all over everything is something we definitely don't want. A good value.
