Finally an idea for the space above the 12" screen... This phone mount is an excellent idea for that space. It looks professional, it is sturdy, simple to follow instructions to install - yet little difficult due to lack of space and visibility. You have to work little blind as, at least my big head, could not easily fit above the dashboard and under the rear view mirror. It was a bit of a struggle but that is not the mount's fault. Once installed, it took minimal space and when the phone is placed on the mount, it did not obstruct the screen or the vent. It is easy to move around and set the phone at the height/position you prefer. This solved a problem for me as I never could find a good place to keep the phone if I needed it for GPS - as it has the latest maps/traffic as I have not updated my navigation since I got the truck (Ram 1500 Rebel) in 2021.
