Too narrow/small to stay put inside the frame, falls right out. May try to use the sealant to secure it but pretty dumb.

Wrong size insulation included. I have reached out to the seller and there has been zero communication. The guard works well otherwise.

This is basically a tension rod with a metal plate on it. There is silicone seal to fill the gaps. It is very easy to do and done in minutes. The metal is thick and the rod was solid. It fit great and can see how it can be scaled up or down.

Don’t buy. I installed it at the highest spring pressure I could and still be able to inset it in the fireplace. One attempt at building a fire and it fell down. Total waste of money unless you can permanently affix it to the walls f the fireplace, then it might work.
