Pretty amazing when you consider how far we've come in 135 years. I buy a switch, a fairly complex piece by 1969 standards. It redirects electrons to various circuits in order to illuminate (irradiate) a chosen visual zone. Thanks science, thanks Jeff.

Edit: After a few months I tried this for ~15 minutes and it started strobe flashing my headlights at night. ~1 minute intervals. NOT FUN. Turns out, the internal breaker inside this is tripping due to a warm summer car and older halogen headlights. Gonna have to change something to get it to work or replace it.Fits perfectly in a 69 mustang. Dimmer works properly too.

This headlight switch was an exact replacement for my 1969 Mustang - a 50 year old car, so I was very happy. But when I plugged it in, it got hot, very hot, so I unplugged it. I tried the old switch and it did not heat up. I waited ten minutes, and plugged the new switch back in. This time It did not get hot, and seems to be working, but I am afraid once I install it up under the dash, it could heat up again and start an electrical fire in a valuable car. The seller does not proved any way to contact them directly to discus a problem or get a resolution.

It fit my 69 mustang and works. The knob squeaks a little when you turn the dimmer switch, so I suggest putting a little bit of dielectric grease on the contacts of the dimmer where it rotates before installing...but no real complaints.
