I bought this to put a v3 starlink dish on our house's metal roof. it's been almost two months now, and it's been through severe storms, like winter storms, and flooding-type situations, and where were basically in a field surrounded by hills, we get very strong winds, and it hasn't budged an inch. Magnets have been proven to be really strong, and the movement of the dish itself has stayed perfectly still and aligned, The angle adjustments haven't moved any, according to the starlink app.

The 16 magnets have a very powerful hold. I have no worries about using this on a non-moving vehicle to withstand winds and weather. My only thought was that it would be nice if they provided locking nuts as opposed to just standard ones. They are doubled up, making them lock to a degree, so it may be fine.Very happy overall!5 out of 5 stars.

I tried several of these magnetic mounts from different brands and was unsurprised when they arrived in identical but generic packaging. It was initially described as having 8 magnets but it arrived with 8 arms and 16 magnets(and has since been updated on the page here). That's double the magnets and Im ok having more connection points as I was going to install these on an RV and one of our travel trailers and wanted to ensure they stayed put without having to drill any holes. This mount is sturdy and has a ton of adjustment points. You should definitely have an electric ratchet or socket mounted on a drill for your install as you've got almost 40 nuts and bolts that you'll need to fasten and doing it by hand will take you a bit. Once you get everything in place and tightened down, there is very little movement. We've had these mounted for a few months now and haven't had to re-adjust or tighten anything down since the initial install.

This starlink mount is sturdy and easy to install. It has 16 very powerful magnets that provide a stable mount. The magnets are put in rubber to prevent scratches, which is a huge plus for me. The mount is lightweight and very adjustable. Overall, i recommend it.

There is no way to get maximum support/strength from the magnets on a house metal roof unless it is completely smooth and free of any metal ridges(like all house metal roofing has). I have standard metal roof with ridges in the metal itself. Although the magnets are adjustable back and forth, it doesn't allow for the height of the ridges. If the magnets had longer bolts it would work, but not sure how to rig the magnets to be fitted with longer bolts without compromising their strength. The pictures show being mounted on a house metal roof with ridges. Very deceiving picture with it on a house. Very disappointed. I don't think it could possibly hold up in strong wind. Otherwise, it is very adjustable in all other ways and would work on completely smooth metal.
