My wife and I enjoy traveling to 'remote locations' but there's one issue. In my line of work, decent Internet connectivity is non-negotiable. Sure, you *might* be able to find decent wi-fi but long ago I learned the importance of having redundant backup options no matter where you are in the world. I've got a variety of different 'backup methods' for US and international travel but thanks to Starlink I've now got an option that even works in the wilderness and similar isolated locations.This mount reminds me of several that I have for my GoPro--only in larger form. It can attach to the roof of your vehicle and provide a stable base for mounting your Starlink dish. The base is adjustable to fit where you need it to and the magnets are coated with rubber so you won't have a scratched up pickup truck roof. The magnets are seriously strong--the product description says they provide 'up to 170 pounds of force'. I didn't measure it, but they're extremely strong and burly. Just a very clever and useful accessory for Starlink Gen 3 owners. Highly recommended!

I had my doubts about this for the price. The item images don't do it justice. The mount is heavy duty with a nice black powder coat finish. The hardware seems like a good quality stainless steel. the way this is built allows for a huge range of adjustability as every mounting situation is different. I'm impressed with the holding power of the larger magnetic feet. They come attached to the legs and it's difficult to remove them. The rubber coating on the magnetic feet is heavy and doesn't seem to affect the strength of the magnets. Now will I trust these to hold my dishy on the roof of my curved van? We will see and I'll update if I decide it's not strong enough. Right now this is five star for the quality of the items included.

Well made mount that should hold up well.It is heavy enough to keep the dish down in most normal winds without being placed on a metal surface.When on a metal surface it holds down and likely not come off in the most extreme winds.Keep in mind the most RV's like shown in the picture do not have metal roofs. Even a lot of cars and trucks now like the F150 do not have metal roofs as well.In these cases you could glue/fasten some magnetic plates down then this mount. That would still allow it to be removed even if fiberglass or other roof.
