Use it to sharpen tungsten electrodes. It works pretty good.

Yup, it was pricey compared to other pin vises but 1) the quality is outstanding and 2) made in USA. My kid's grandkids will be using this tool.

Egal wie fest man die Spannzange schließt, rutscht der eingespannte Bohrer durch. Ich habe zum Schluss sogar eine Kombizange zum Spannen benutzt. Trotzdem rutschen die Bohrer durch, sobald man nur etwas Druck beim Bohren ausübt. Die ausprobierten Bohrer hatten alle Durchmesser in dem angegebenen Bereich. Das Werkzeug ist deshalb für mich völlig nutzlos.

Holds 1mm bit well, a pad, swivel, or ballend would be welcome, no great way to apply pressure with your palm.

The photo in the advertising on Amazon is very misleading and leads any one ordering that you are buying all four pin vises. Starrett is the best and the three stars is because of the misrepresentation in the advertising . Amazon needs to correct this .

The text "Vises" the photo of 4 vises and the significantly higher price, led me to believe that more than one item was for sale. During my 30+ year career building custom gadgets for research. Starrett pin vises were a valuable tool. I cannot envision using a cheap copy. After using the 240C several times, I do not feel it's enhanced features fully justify the extra cost. When my pin vise collection is enlarged, simpler more economical Starrett pin vises will be added.Amazon should correct the item description by at least including a number for the quantity sold.
