Had a zero turn mower that had a bad starter. This bolted right in on the Kohler 7000 series motor, fits well. Plenty of power to crank the motor over and get it running. The bendix operates as it should. Seems of the same quality of the original part I replaced.

I got this starter for my Kohler KT725, but it should also work on the entire Kohler 7000 series, if I'm reading the description correctly. Be sure to look up your part number and make sure it matches before ordering, just to be safe.These starters are not OEM, but they claim to be made to OEM standards, and I'm hoping that also applies to the internal components.These are pretty easy to change out, but if you run into any problems, just check out a YouTube video for your particular engine and it should help you along.Everything is OK with the starter so far, but the real test will be how long it holds up over time. If it fails prematurely, I will be sure to come back and update this review.Update: I should have mentioned in my original review that the bendix on this new starter is thinner than the one on the original starter, and I have read recently that people are having problems with the bendix breaking on these newer starters, so you will want to take that into consideration before buying.I also read that there are 2 kinds of starters out there, one that has 10 teeth like this one, and one that has 9 teeth, and it is the one that has 10 teeth that are having the most problems with the bendix breaking when engaging. These new starters don't seem to be made well at all.
