Exact replacement for the service bed IR compressor I use for work.UPDATE-worked good for 3 months then quit. Wouldn't even try to turn bench testing. Disappointed but it was 40 bucks. Had to go with another supplier for a replacement.

At the time I couldn't find the model of my engine. I finally did, and it was not one that was listed. The starter was about an inch shorter, which was not an issue. However, the tubes where the bolts that holds it on were a quarter inch shorter than mine. Other than that everything else was perfect. Thankfully, the part that was short was on the side away from the engine. I was able to get two steel spacers from the hardware store for less than a dollar and it allowed me to install is exactly as the old one fit. My engine is a Kohler 26HP, SV735. As I said, not listed. So this is not the sellers fault. After getting the starter installed it worked great. No noises, no heavy draw, no slow spin. It works perfect! So, if you're considering getting a starter, from this seller, or any other, make sure you have your engine number. Mine was in a very hard to see place until I started to take the engine apart. The only thing I wish the seller would have done is put the measurements either in a photo or in the description. Things like total hight, diameter, mounting bolt length, etc... It's great that they put the models of the engines it would fit, but sometimes those stickers are almost impossible to see, or missing all together. So, measurements would be helpful.Other than that, I have no regrets getting this starter.
