I have installed many over the last 50 years, this is the only one I have that was bad out of the box. After installing and removing it, I used a voltmeter and is was dead, it would click but not provide current to the starter.

I repair broken lawn tractors. This is the second one of these that had this problem.It will engage the starter but sometimes will not disengage causing the starter to run until the battery is dead or the starter burns up. The first one I just tossed in the trash but this one is going back.I ordered a ford solenoid that I know will work.

The solenoid was faulty straight out of the box. No instructions included. I’m a small engine mechanic, so the lack of instructions didn’t bother me. However if you are unfamiliar with what you are doing, it may be helpful to know. I do not recommend this product!

I installed this solenoid with no directions in the box. Same way I had the old one in. Didn’t work no click power in ignition trigger got. Nothing out. So I moved the wires around. Still nothing. Put the old one back had a click back nothing out. Finally gave up and went to the parts store and got another one. Even for less money then I paid. Installed it and BOOM!!!! Got cranking back started right up. Simply not to be trusted. No damage on the box. Asked for a refund said I have to take to a UPS store. Ya not a single one around that I don’t have to drive for an hour or 2 one way. Not happening

Can't even fit normal size ring terminals.Once I drilled my terminals to fit ENLARGED POSTS....one side of terminal pulled out with stripped post. Complete garbage. As for ease of installation....I would rather pull out finger nails with pliers.Made it work. Now only if post doesn't work itself back out.
