This product was so simple to install using the video included in the description. I have installed remote starters in the past that required me to snip wires here fuse them together there tape them off, etc. The plug-in play feature with these starters make the job simple I was done in less than 30 minutes.Programming, my existing fob was a piece of cake too following the very simple instructions and pictures included in the form that came along with the starter. Although I haven’t had it installed for very long,I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced remote starter.

I installed this remote starter on a 2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L. The installation process took about 90 minutes to complete. The kit comes with two T-harnesses that you simply plug into the ignition switch (zero cutting required). The included instructions tell you to look for a red or green light at times, which I did not see while programming the module. Even so, the remote starter worked perfectly. The module can be mounted near the driver's interior fusebox using the included zip ties.To start driving, insert the key and turn it to the ON (II) position. If you pressing the brake pedal first, the engine will shut off.Overall, this is an excellent product: a fully warmed/cooled vehicle is a luxurious feature!

Contacted Start-X regarding my van not starting. Only received one email reply with a request to see a video of the unit working. I mentioned that the XL models appear to have issues with this start system.Update: after Christmas break, customer support improved a lot. After trouble shooting, a new unit was sent. The XL models don’t have a hood sensor and I believe that had to be bypassed by the suppliers hardware coding. The new unit works well and shuts off after a few minutes if left running too long. If the unit doesn’t start and clicks a number of times, that means it’s either programmed wrong or it thinks one of the doors is open. (The hood pin shipped with it won’t help, it’s a signal missing from the ecm)If they can get an Odessey XL option, these issues may be avoided.

It is one of those things where if you've done it once it is easy. Like, really easy. The videos are GREAT for doing the mechanical steps (removing parts, showing where a hidden screw is, etc.) Where it stumbles a little is the programming steps, no video. The guide in the book is accurate, however it feels a little like a puzzle. You've got this little box that is used to program the car with lots of places to plug things in, a few lights and a button. You follow the steps but there was some trial and error. One step had plugging in the 12 port cable then pushing a button, however you need all 3 cables plugged in before you push button. If they made a programming step by step guide I would 5 star this for sure. It does indeed work, no cutting cables and you can really just use your existing keys to start and stop the car.So in conclusion, first time doing it was not easy. Took me about 90 minutes with time looking things up on YouTube, scratching my head. However if I had to do another, probably 10 minutes. Really thinking about getting it for my other car now that I can do it!

Literally took 10 minutes and my wife's minivan went from no remote start to having a simple remote start! The hardest part is putting it all together once you've wired everything up. Not much space under the steering column but with some creativity it's possible. Great value for money!
