Product Description

Swinging drops connoisseurs and connoisseurs appreciate it: the self-humidification system of the cast iron roasting dish from STAUB. The French manufacturer now also uses this principle for cocottes with a curved lid. Harmonious shape and effective function – the French designer Samuel Accoceberry saw the challenge when developing the new Roasting Dish from Staub, to create the estimated rain effect even for cocottes with curved lids, as well as for the tried and tested cocottes with flat lid. A mould had to be found which is similar to the tried and tested picots of the classic dust lid ensures that the condensation liquid can first accumulate and then reliably drip down on the simmering food. The solution is provided by the innovative Chistera Drop Structure on the underside of the lid of the new multifunctional roasting dish from Dust. The characteristic shape of the elements ensures an effective way of action of the new drop system. This makes it possible for the first time to realise the self-humidification system in cocottes in a second, curved lid shape. Taste is thus ensured in every way. Inspired by the asymmetrical shape of the drops, the designer with Basque roots was inspired by the ball game Pelota, with which he has been well familiar since his youth. Similar to this ball sport the energy for ball speeds up to 300 km/h is bundled by the Chistera glove, the Chistera Drop Structure collects the coveted condensation to then let it fall on the food. The structure is distributed over the entire underside of the lid. As a result, condensation water drips evenly down to the food in many places, unlike conventional concave pot lids with a smooth base. The inventor of the Chistera Drop Structure Samuel Accoceberry has been awarded many times for his work and worked with numerous well-known companies. He has been working for dust for years and appreciates the simplicity of an effective design and the naturalness of the cast iron material. The roasting dishes with Chistera Drop Structure are versatile. While for some a vegetarian favourite such as a ratatouille is the perfect dish from these roasters, for other connoisseurs and chefs, a boeuf bourguignon or even a gently stewed goulash is ideal for these all-rounders. The aroma-rich cooking on a small flame makes many dishes a favourite dish. The gentle type of fluid return protects the important nutrients and vitamins. The compact proportion of the multifunctional roasting dish also makes the new products from STAUB an elegant eye-catcher in the kitchen. The roasting dishes with the concave curved lid are available in two sizes in five brilliant dust colours: in classic black, modern graphite grey, bright cherry red, elegant dark blue and intense basil green. DAUB cookware can be used on all types of cookers, including induction hobs. They are enamelled inside and outside. This makes them particularly durable, easy to clean and show an extraordinary brilliance that makes the colours particularly expressive. Thanks to the extremely smooth base, the pots and pans can be easily used on sensitive surfaces such as the glass ceramic hob. The black, special inner enamel of the pots also improves cooking results and also offers a non-stick effect thanks to the slightly roughened surface, which makes frying and cooking easier. Scratch resistance, extreme heat resistance and easy cleaning are other advantages of the dust pots.

Minhas panelas são da Le Creuset e gosto muito. Até que comprei uma Le Creuset com fundo preto e me decepcionei.Comprei essa Staub por R$1.199 e foi a melhor coisa que fiz!Panela perfeita! Amei!

I've been a loyal Le Creuset fan for years and have just recently tried out Staub. Why'd it take me so long?! Excellent quality. The colour is a rich deep wine burgundy, I'd say darker then the image online.

My first piece of Staub was the 3.75 qt. rooster pot in grenadine because I loved the color, little did I know it would lead to replacing all my cookware except for my saucepans. I thought I loved my Le Creuset pan, but Staub does EVERYTHING BETTER! It is almost non-stick if you preheat, use lower temperatures and lightly oil your pan. It cleans up so easily with soap and water just like your favorite glass dishes. If you have never used cast iron, there is a bit of a learning curve, here are some tips:Find your "sweet spot"! Heat your pan on low heat, add a 1/4 tsp of butter and gradually turn the heat up till the butter foams, but does not begin to brown. Make a note of where this setting is, you will use it as a starting point to begin preheating your pan.Preheat your pan for 10 minutes on medium-low to medium heat. Only use high heat to boil liquid.Grease your pan. I invert a bottle of vegetable oil (high smoking point) on a napkin to lightly coat the pan. Then use whatever oil you wish to cook with sparingly. I do just use butter when frying eggs.Meats will leave a food shadow which can be removed with a tiny bit of Bar Keepers Friend cleanser and a gentle scrub. Only use the cleanser on the black interior of the pan as it will mar the shiny enameled finish on the outside of the pan.For stuck on residue, let soak for 10 minutes then wash by hand with a soft cloth or sponge, rinse and dry immediately.Be sure to use wooden or silicone utensils to prevent scratching.I've been hooked on Staub for seven years and all my pans still look new.

This was a replacement order for an ill fitting lid on another Staub Chistera. The lid on this one fits perfectly flush. Although Amazon U.K. could learn from Amazon Australia and Amazon U.S.A. on how to properly package fragile items in bubble wrap and rigid cardboard boxes, not some loosely placed brown paper enveloped in a flimsy cardboard box. Fortunately Staub package their items in sturdy, thick cardboard box which prevented any breakage.
