Seems like great quality at first but a couple of months after installation it started rusting already. For the price, I don’t recommend it.

This chimney clean out was a perfect fit for my project and worked like a charm! The clean out is built very well.I installed this on my barrel stove to be able to empty the ashes from the rear. This made cleaning the ashes out way more efficient than trying to remove them from the smaller opening in the front. It was a fairly easy install, but I did have to do a little customization to make it work no big deal though.The material so far has been rust resistant, but I do keep the stove out of the weather. Being that it's cast iron I do expect a bit of surface rust to show up eventually.It does have a good bit of weight to it however it's not anything unmanageable.This clean out is well worth the money, and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out on my barrel stove.

Nicely cast chimney clean-out door. It was almost identical to my previous clean-out door in every conceivable way, even down to the embossing on the face. Yet, the one that I replaced was stamped inside with the year 1923 and was set into a brick chimney in a once-Amish-owned home. Odd. Anyhow, it's working perfectly and should last another 100 years I would expect. Very pleased.

This ash door is very nice. It’s pretty heavy and feels like it’s very high quality. It looks great and was fairly easy to install. I would highly recommend.

For the price this is a decent clean out cover. I will not be using it indoors as hoped, there isn’t a gasket included and not much room to add one.

I ordered this to go into a rocket mass heater build for my workshop, and I'm not disappointed. The casting is good quality, and it simply does what it's designed to do. The hinges are a little loose/sloppy, but for the intended purpose, it will work just fine.

I installed this on a chimney that has a clean out door on the exterior so the old one (cast iron) rusted out after 20+ years. This one fit in the same spot fine and I used mortar to set it into place. It feels very solid and looks great on the chimney. Since this is installed on the exterior, it has developed some slight surface rust on a few spots. It's not the fault of the product, it's just that cast iron in general is very susceptible to rust if exposed to moisture. If the surface rust bothers you, you can always use paint for BBQ grills which should prolong the life of this.
