I went to Harbor Freight and got this pulley block for $6.99 then drilled a hole through the top gusset for a bolt. Then hooked original hook to it, you can lift with one hand now.

Directions are garbage pretty much pointless. Mechanically inclined so whatever. When pulling skin off deer by hand all the metal was bending and flimsy. Bent it several places and even see metal creased and discolored. Also the gamble locks at top are total crap. Super thin and bend out of the way so couldn't keep gamble actually in them when pulling on deer. Also winch has 1 gear so takes 100+ rotations drawing it up and letting down. If it was 49.99 I wouldn't feel bad about purchase but paid 100 so very unhappy.

I too have missing parts. Not sure why this is so common, but I was missing one D-ring, a washer, and the bearing assembly. Not a show stopper, but will make it difficult to rotate with a load hoisted. I called the number in the assembly manual, let them know the parts that were missing. They were able to pull up my Amazon order and ship the parts to the same address. Great customer service!EDIT: Finally got to using this to skin and quarter a deer. What a great tool if you don't have a tree or other means. Super convenient to load into the truck from the woods, too.

Took a while to get shipped. Box looked like it was damaged and taped up. What missing the hardware and instructions. Has a small nick on it that’s rusting. Other then that it’s a great product period, and can’t beat the price.

Does not really work on the back of a F150 with tailgate

This thing is amazing. I have used it three times this year putting deer in the back of my truck. These deer were so big that if I wouldn't have had this hoist, I would have had to have gotten help to get them in the truck. As my grandpa was fond of saying "This thing is as handy as a pocket on a shirt" and it is! I would totally recommend it in a heartbeat. Great product!

Don't waste your money. Didn't come with bolts or pins etc. Zero instructions and very poor design. Tailgate has to be up or taken off for this hoist to work. Does not Swivel. Pretty much what you would expect from Made in China.

For the price, this gambrel and hoist is amazing. The gambrel alone is extremely sturdy and worth $25-$30 easy. Cleaned 9 deer on it so far and it was worth every penny.

Easy to setup and durable. It shipped fast and was a good price! I highly recommend and for the negative reviews on not opening your tailgate while on your truck, they are being ridiculous. Why would you expect to be able to open the tailgate.

Good product for the price but the assembly instructions are wrong! This is a good product but the instructions for assembly read like they were translated from Chinese. They state the winch is pre-assembled to the frame when it’s actually in a box. You have to disassemble the guide pulleys and route the cable through them, something the instructions say absolutely nothing about. One other problem is the winch cable out of the box was a bird’s nest mess, after I bolted it to the frame the next thing I had to do was slowly and carefully unspool the entire cable and then rewind it while holding tension on the cable. It looks like Rage Power Sports is buying the winches from a third party and just throwing them in the box with the frame.I’d recommend this product, however Rage needs to provide accurate instructions and do some quality control checks on parts they acquire from outside sources
