Very good for small hedges trimming.Very good for grass trim.Unit is not strong enough to cut branches bigger than 1/8”.Unit drain battery fast. upplier provided two batteries. Supplier provided two batteries with the unit.

This combo hedge trimmer/grass shears is well made. It comes with 2 batteries, a charger andthe hedge trimmer and grass shears attachments. The design is great with easy attachment changes. The attachments cut well and the tool is light. There is ample power from the batteries for your trimming needs. I just wish the hedge trimmer attachment was longer, and the batteries were interchangeable with other tools.

This review is for the STEELITE Cordless Hedge Trimmer-21V Electric. This handheld grass trimmer and hedge clipper comes with 2 x 20 volt batteries, a 2A charger, hedge clippers and sheath, grass clippers and sheath, and an instruction manual. The clippers are interchangeable by simply snapping them on to the bottom of the clipper's drive mechanism. The battery slides on to the rear of the drive unit. It is a very light and quiet unit which makes it easy to use for an adult of any age. They are very sharp, so I don't recommend letting children anywhere near these.One of the first things I did was check the capacity of the batteries. They are in fact very close to the rated 2AH capacity, with a result of 1.934 AH. Not bad at all. The battery voltage was measured at 20.7 volts. Since the charger outputs 2 amps, you can charge up the battery is about 1 hour.In use, the hedge trimmer function worked well The branch size is limited to around 8 mm. Anything bigger won't fit in the groves of the shears. The last time I have used hedge trimmers were many years ago, and I was using a corded AC powered shears. As far as I can recall, these Steelite shears worked just as well. I even used it on small sumach trees which seem to be poping up everywhere in my yard, and it cut them with ease. Switching to the grass shears, which literally takes only seconds to change, I had similar good results. Unfortunately, when using them for trimming grass on your lawn border, you have to get down on you hands and knees to trim the grass. Not so great for an older person, but nonetheless the grass trimmer worked very well. I think older people might prefer a weed wacker, just because they can work it standing up.I have noticed that there are many varieties of hedge trimmer/grass cutters for sale. Since this unit comes with 2 batteries, as well as both trimmers, I feel it is priced fairly. I have seen similar kits at almost twice the price. The battery level indicator is built in to the battery to let you know what the power remaining is. It is a light duty trimmer and only intended for home use. The manufacturer claims about 3-4 hours of use on both batteries. It has an integrated safetly lock/trigger, so it can’t inadvertantly start up. There is a product warranty page at the back of the instruction manual, but it has no info on the warranty period. It was meant to be filled out and signed by the seller.

Bought these to trim grass around the head stones of many of our deceased family members...try to upkeep the areas looking as best they can. They work perfectly for this purpose!
