Leakage doesn't matter a whole lot for many machines such as lawnmowers, but it's a real problem for a weed trimmer. I put this new cap on my 25 year old Homelite trimmer, and it DID NOT LEAK, no matter what angle that I held the trimmer at. Small upgrades like this really take away the frustration of using old machinery.

Good replacement for homelite gas trimmer ST-175. Earlier I had a cap that center vent was lost, now it works fine without any leak.

Perfect fit. I took a chance on this and for once it worked out.Updated-may 5th 2018. This dam thing leaks worse now than the old one. Not sure what happened but now it won’t screw down right on the trimmer. And no , it’s not stipped. Very disappointed!!!!

I have a Homelite sx135 weedeater that I purchased in the 90's and my old gas cap was leaking pretty bad. I ordered this new cap from Amazon and it fits perfect. So far so good! Hopefully it will last awhile and not leak. I am pleased with this purchase and I would order from this Company again. This item came in a timely manner and at a decent price.

I bought this cap after looking on the Homelite web page and getting redirected to a parts supplier who's page was less than easy to use. I have bought lawn mower blades from Mowtown before and had good luck and once again no issues so far the cap fits like the original!
