Our 3/8" Conversion Guitar Tuner Bushings come in round and hex shape bushings for adapting 1/4" string posts to fit larger pegholes. Set of 6.
Adapts s 1/4" string post to fit larger pegholes. Our special tapered knurled press-fit brass bushings let you install Waverly or other tuning machines with 1/4"-diameter string posts into 3/8" or 10mm pegholes (such as those used for Gotoh/Grover/Schaller tuners) without the need to plug and redrill the pegholes.
For a perfect fit, we recommend a .393" diameter reamer to cut a clean, accurate counterbore.
Note: these conversions bushings will NOT work on instruments with 10.5mm pegholes. Measure the tuner peghole diameter prior to ordering.
Specs for our round shape 3/8" conversion bushings:
- Outside diameter at top of taper: 0.394" (10.01mm)
- Outside diameter at bottom of taper: 0.375" (9.53mm)
- Round-shaped collar diameter: 0.437" (11.10mm)

The finish is great. But, if your peg holes are 3/8”, you will need to enlarge the holes a little bit. Otherwise won’t go in. Tried on my maple Fender Tele neck. And I don’t want to risk the wood. Check the StewMac vid. I am going to try Gotoh’s 9.2mm bushings next

StewMac quality is excellent. Their relic finish is also first rate. That said, their prices are the highest out there - but you will not have to worry if the item fits or looks good.
