Trimmer pull housing vibrated one of the screws out. Then when pull starting one of the pawls and springs were damaged. Pawl and spring cost more then this assembly. Was fairly straight forward to replace. Used a small impact cordless driver with a socket to pop the old one off and put this one on. Took less then 5 minutes. (I also added some blue thread lock to the housing screws, hopefully that will keep them in place in the future with all the vibration)

Was happy with the product it fit well and was cheaper than parts to repair mine. The only thing not very happy with Amazon Prime and now 3 days shipping not sure prime is worth it anymore?

Reviews directed me to this part. The pull start mechanism of the weed-eater started slipping and making grinding noises without starting the motor. I had borrowed a friend's machine and the dog-gone thing broke while using it. Stihl has a problem with this model and this part chronically goes out. It is an EASY fix!This part fit perfectly and was replaced in only a few minutes. Be aware mine took a TORX screwdriver to remove the pull start assembly. I would look yours over first to know for sure. This replacement part is OEM and works well.

This carrier with Pawls was a perfect fit for the Stihl FS 94 trimmer. To help installation you need to remove the spark plug and install an M10-1.0 bolt into the spark plug hole long enough to stop the piston so you can remove the old one and install this one. A 2” length bolt does a great job and you can get one at your local hardware store for like $2. Now let’s see how long this one lasts. Good Luck.
