The air rifle safety doesn't work. It will only block the trigger pull when the gun is not cocked. When cocked, you would expect the trigger to be blocked by the safety however this isn't the case. The air rifle works very well but its completely unsafe for young shooters.

Have only had for a couple of weeks but so far am very pleased with the accuracy. I have tried several different .177 pellets and only one lightweight one was unacceptable. The cocking effort is acceptable for older shooters and youth. The trigger is a bit stiff but I think that will improve with usage.

The sights cannot be adjusted enough to hit a bullseye at 50 feet. Sent it back.

This air rifle is light-weight and easy to break the barrel to put in a new pellet. It didn't take much to zero it either. I will say that I had a previous one that all of a sudden lost its ability to zero and group after about three weeks of consistent use, but the company was quick to send a replacement. My new one is doing wonderful so far. I enjoy using it, and it doesn't hurt my arm when I load it, so I'm happy. 😁 When zero-ing this one, I was able to get a grouping of three on the bullseye, so I'm hoping this one continues to stay accurate.

So I'm surprised I got the gun undamaged for the fact that it even got here. Not only did Amazon send it in their original box so everyone gets to see what you bought, which they do sometimes. But the Box didn't even have the tape on it from the factory to seal the Box. So you can just go to the box and open it there's nothing to stop me from doing that not even a piece of tape. All the other rifles I got even though in the original box at least had tape on it this one didn't. Now as far as the rifle, like the title says this rifle is great for the backyard. It doesn't have as much power as a full adult break barrel but it's a little bit stronger than a BB gun. I'm thinking somewhere about 5 to 600 FPS with lead pellets at 7 plus grains. This is a good rifle to use all the light pellets that don't fly good because they're too light for the heavier more powerful rifles. I sort of already knew this as soon as I cocked it, because it is super easy to caulk. Which means this is a great rifle for a beginner or a kid. It looks like an adult rifle but it has the power of like a Junior rifle. However it is strong enough to like get rid of rats or something at a fairly close range. This is a close range rifle. I really don't see the sense of putting a scope on it. Unless you really wanted to of course. The free sites are good, however there is no numbers and only the windage has a DOT which you can use for reference. The elevation knob has no markings whatsoever so you will have to paint a white Mark or something on there for reference. The rifle is also fairly quiet. And that's why I said it's a good backyard rifle. The rifle does look really nice though, and it feels good in your hands. That's about it. If you're looking for a rifle that's a little bit stronger than a BB gun but not as strong as the other high power break barrels then this might be the rifle for you. Sometimes it's nice to have a rifle that's not as powerful as all the rest that way you don't have to worry about it going through the Target and damaging some other stuff. This is my first Stoeger in my collection. The rifle is fine enough to make you want to buy maybe another one to the collection but the ones that I want are like $200 plus which is kind of pricey so I don't know if I'm going to because you can get a good rifle and scope combination for about 130 bucks. So I pay another $70 to $100 more for a rifle that is not that much better if any. Anyways unless you're living on a farm or a ranch or go hunting this rifle should be good enough for around the house and taking care of small pest that it's what it is designed for. And it's pretty good at that. Oh and one last thing that I noticed that this company does that I think is so cool that I haven't seen any other air rifle company do yet is that they give you a sticker to probably display on your two box or dresser or whatever. All the other companies should give you stickers too I really enjoyed that sticker in the Box I guess it's just a little kid in me LOL :-)

Would highly recommend this one! It's compact as the name suggests and it's still really powerful and accurate. The only down fall I could find was I had to zero my back sight almost all the way over to get it zeroed. But now that it's zeroed it is super accurate and an absolute joy to shoot. Easy to cock, the sights are nice and bright and the air gun is overall nice quality and easy to use.
