I own a stonylab H-type electrolytic cell that I got this for. It fits and works perfectly with my cell. This does not come with any KCl solution, luckily any chemist worth their salt has potassium chloride in their arsenal.Chemists got that quip, I'm sure.So once you make a fully saturated solution of KCl, all you have to do is "fill er up" and let it soak for half an hour, and you're good to go.One thing I definitely wanted to point out, especially with this Calomel electrode because it contains mercury, is to be VERY CAREFUL when opening this from the package. They're only lightly taped into the box, and I literally almost dropped it when I pulled the box open, they aren't extremely secure in the package. So, exercise a lot of caution when you open this up, so it doesn't go falling onto the floor. Glass reference electrodes don't tolerate drops very well, and mercury is not fun to clean up.If you need a standard reference electrode to measure the potential of an unknown (or any number of other things), these Calomel electrodes from stonylab are a fantastic deal. If you're priced Calomel reference electrodes, this is cheaper by HALF than anything else I could find at a chemical supply distributor. Most are actually 8-10x more expensive than this. And the quality of this is just fine, 100% worth the cost and then some. 5 stars.
