I love how compact these sharps containers are. It’s not any bigger than my meter kit is and it stores nicely next to my bed so I don’t have to root around at night. It’s nice ejecting the test strip right into the little opening and locking it shut again. Very snappy and very professional looking, yet sleek. Stores hundreds of used test strips. Super convenient and clear what it’s for.

These take up a lot less space when going away for the weekend than the 1-quart sharps containers that we use at home. One of these small containers can hold a few insulin syringes with the needles bent over (use the opening in the top of the container to bend the needle before depositing the needle into it), plus plenty of room to spare for lancets and used test strips. Like any good sharps container, it is meant to be permanent disposal, not emptied and reused. Therefore it does have a lock on the lid which, once activated, cannot be unlocked, so be careful of that. These little sharps containers are so inexpensive and convenient that we plan to order more for future travel, rather than trying to make space for the comparatively huge containers we used to bring with us.

I knew that the listing said they were small but I was a bit surprised once they arrived at how small they really are. Although they are small they are very well made. The plastic material is durable and the slide lock opening on the side works great and closes securely. These are the perfect size for travel and everyday on the go use since they will fit in most purses, backpacks, etc. It’s nice that there are 3 containers included, I have one in my purse, one in my glove box in my truck and one waiting to replace whichever one of those two fills up first. If you are someone who is testing regularly throughout the day I highly recommend these so you’ll always have a sharps container on hand.

These are smaller than I expected, but that's actually good. They're the perfect size to throw in a purse or pocket. I got them for cat rescue care, cause we do vaccinations on the go, and this is a portable and secure way to dispose of the needles. The lids don't exactly lock, they slide over the opening and snap in place. So they could potentially slide open while bumping around in a bag, especially after a lot of use. I haven't seen that happen yet, but could see it happen.Overall, I do recommend these to provide safe disposal of needles on the go.

At home, we have a large sharps storage container for used diabetic lancets and test strips. It takes a long time to fill, and once full, we take it to our doctor's office, since he has the ability to safely dispose of the contents. Once it is emptied in his container, ours can then be reused. This set of small sharps containers are more for use during travel, And they are small indeed. The picture on the product page makes them seem larger than they really are, although in the fine print you can find their dimensions. I am not certain how many lancets and strips they can hold, since both can be of varying sizes and widths, but certainly not a lot. The container is easy to carry in a pocket, purse, or suitcase while traveling. The body of the container is made of sturdy plastic, and you don't have to worry about a lancet penetrating it. It is labelled clearly as containing biohazardous material. The top of the container has a sliding lid. After opening the disposal hole and placing an item into the container, you then slide the lid to cover over the hole. But you have to be careful when doing so, because the lid actually has two closing positions. The first one covers the disposal hole and prevents items from falling or leaking out if the container is tipped. The other is a "lock" position which permanently shuts the top when the container is full and ready for disposal. There is a fill line on the body of the container, and once reached, the lid is to be placed in the "lock" position. At that point you should dispose of the container in a responsible manner according to your area's rules for the safe disposal of biohazardous material. Since this is a three-pack of containers, simply start using another one.I recommend this as a nice portable sharps container for traveling to be used in conjunction with a larger one at home.

My dad has Type II diabetes and I have been told I have pre-diabetes so I started wearing a CGM device to try to track my blood glucose to try to avoid moving to full blown diabetes. My CGM device showed major blood glucose dips while exercising (into the danger zone) so my doctor suggested I also do finger pricks because the CGM may be inaccurate. My dad just throws his discards into an empty water bottle. I wanted something a little more protected and got this three pack. The containers are the perfect size for carrying in my pocket, purse or backpack. I can also slide one into my blood glucose monitoring device's carry bag so everything stays together. I have been told to place tape over the lid before discarding in the trash. These don't feel like the white slider closure will open on its own, but just in case, I will tape it to reinforce the closure.

This item is a 3 pack of compact sharps containers to dispose of blood glucose test strips, lancets, and other small biohazard waste. I find that these are a perfect size for me to take when I do my glucose checking outside my house. The container locks well after depositing my test strip and lancet needle and it is made of thick plastic that would be difficult to pierce. When you fill up the container, up to the fill line on the label, you can permanently lock it for disposal. Some places allow you to toss these containers in trash (not recycling) while others require it be brought to a sharps container disposal kiosk or other collection center. You need to check what the process is in your location. The price point it reasonable given I would only be using them when I test outside my home. We have larger sharps containers for the family at home. Overall, a good quality and safe solution for my glucose testing waste when I am not in my house.
