These are sized well and the velcro closing makes on and off very easy. They are holding up very well for my granddaughter.

The ankle opening and strap on these is way too small. We ordered the wide to see if that made an difference and it does not. They will not close and are always flared open. Due to this issue they are very difficult to put on. Not what we've come to expect from Stride Rite-definetly don't recommend this style.

This was a cute pair of shoes at a great price. However, it was too small and too narrow for my child. Had to return but appeared to be made of good material.

This is the third time we have purchased Stride Rite shoes for our daughters. Each one got a new pair and helped them support themselves when learning to walk.We were expecting a similar fit, but it ended up being way too small. We never used them and put them back in the box. I wish I was able to return them because they're just wasted now.

These are cute shoes but the strap across the top of the foot isn't long enough to reach the other side and attach. My baby doesn't have particularly wide feet and hasn't had this problem with any other stride rite or other brand shoes. Just an awkward fit.

Child measured at a size 5W, bought these in a 6W. Some extra room but she's very stable when walking in them. Great for a first walker. If you want a thicker sole, (see "not a proper shoe" complaint) then don't buy the Soft Motion. The whole point is that these shoes are designed to maximize stability in a new walker. Once your kid is a pro walker, move on to the Stride Rites with a "real" sole. Love that Stride Rite makes such well-designed shoes in wide widths!

In theory I love these shoes, however, the back of the shoe tilts inwards to help keep the shoe on the foot. Unfortunately, this make is hard to get the shoe on and pushes the foot forward making them fit smaller than the actual size. I bought a different pair, same brand, same size and they fit perfectly.
