Works so well on hot Texas summer.Cools down baby and provides a good relief for baby.Easy to use.The 8 hours is hard to determine. Not going to be as long when there is 105 degrees out there. However, it definitely helps and works on summer.

Excellent idea and I love the way it easily folds up to carry, but could use some improvement. The "ice packs" are actually plastic pouches with screw on lids. There is a small amount of powder inside each, and you have to fill with water and lay flat to freeze. This is not a method I feel very comfortable with, as most freezer gel packs are clearly labeled and not able to easily leak. (These have not leaked, but I worry they feel less secure, in my opinion.)Having to purchase better/different ice packs makes this not a great value to me and using the ones that come with feel worrisome.

This cooling pad for a car seat is awesome because it helps the baby stay cool. It is recommended to be used with a booster seat but it can be used with any seat that the baby sits in. The pack is also reusable and doesn't take too long to get cool. It also kept the baby cool for a few hours.

The pros for this product are:-It works to cool the carseat- It's compact and portable- It's fairly easy to assembleThe main con I have is the ice packs. They are not your normal icepack. They look like big juice or apple sauce pouches, with a screw on cap, and contain a powder which I assume is some kind of gel.You have to pour 2 cups of water into each pack, screw the caps back on, and then freeze them flat.Ok...not too difficult, buy wasn't expecting an IKEA project. While they were freezing, both my husband and 2 of my older children pulled a pouch out and opened it, and then asked me what it was. They all thought it was some kind of food. It's simply not safe at all imo. It says not to reopen after filling..but the caps don't lock or anything and are entirely too easy to take off.It doesn't say what the powder inside consisted of, so how am I to know if it's toxic or not.A complete design flaw imo. This would have been the perfect product if it had normal, sealed, gel packs.

I have to leave my job and head straight to pick up my child from daycare which means that my car seat is sitting in a hot car leading up to me going to get my child. This helps me have some piece of mind because I know I can cool the seat on the way. I just leave this in the fridge/freezer at work and throw it in the seat when I head out. When I get to the daycare I move it to the passenger seat and I'm good to go.
