I have two different types of stud finders which work fine for interior walls, and so does this tool. Where it truly stood out for me was in my garage. I could not find studs out there with anything and wound up drilling a series of 1/16" holes to find the studs (I was desperate). Enter this little guy and in 10 seconds it was finding the steel drywall fasteners inside the wall. It is powerful enough to stick to the wall as advertised and found the impossible studs for me, all at a cost of half the price of a "quality" stud finder! The only thing this can't do is tell you where the stud begins and ends, but I can absolutely live with that if it will find the stud in the first place. I'd recommend this to everybody as a cheap and useful tool to own.
