Had to improvise the install a bit for the Maxxfan cover but so glad I bought this retractable shade instead of something that I had to constantly remove and install. Very satisfied.

Wanted to cover bath room ceiling fan vent - primarily for looks - the vent was already a white vent that blocked most of the sun - this cover finished it off without lowering the ceiling clearance of any significance - installation was just a few minutes and easy to open if vent access is wanted - can still put insulation block pads in the vent during hot or cold periods.

This shade works exactly as described. Very easy to install and blocks the light and hopefully some heat. Also looks decent, not cheap looking.
