The fill plug (1" NPT pipe plug with 9/16" square head) on my manual transmission was stuck, and slightly rounded (from using the wrong tool.) The Sunex 218fp 1/2-Inch Drive 9/16-Inch Female Plug Socket fit the square head perfectly, and was strong enough to get the plug free. I used a 24" breaker bar, and used a floor jack to push up on the breaker bar. This socket was just the right tool for the job!

This made changing the transmission fluid 1000x easier! If you have to change the transmission fluid, save yourself the hassle of rounding out your fill bolt and pick this up! I recommend this to anyone that has to do it! Well worth the money!

Fits perfectly on the IO-360 (and possibly other) Lycoming aircraft oil sump drain plug which is 9/16”.

I bought this to remove the drain plug from my boat. The plug wouldn’t unscrew with a wrench and was starting to strip. I used this with a breaker bar and was able to remove it very easily. The marina that ‘winterized’ my boat didn’t remove the plug as it was too hard and almost rounded the plug but this worked very nicely.

I liked that the 'Tolerances' were exact, and that the tool fit tightly to the square plug that was almost impossible to get out with conventional tool placements..
