Had to order twice, got lost in shipping. When I reordered it it got delayed several times. Finally got the product, used one time and the magnet fell out. The magnet is pressed into a brass insert, cheaply made. Would not recommend there are better sockets out there.

I learned early in my career to do brakes over a trash can so I wouldn't have to clean the floors as much, but sometimes I'd drop a bolt and have to paw through the trash to find it. Enter the magnetic socket.

I purchased the 17mm specifically for removing the oil drain plug on my Subaru Outback. After loosening it with the wrench, I use this magnetic socket on the extension to unscrew the plug the rest of the way. When the last thread is out, I pull it straight out and the plug stays with the socket and extension. There is no oil on my hands, none on the floor, and I do not lose the plug in the drain pan or on top of the undercarriage shield plate. I intend to purchase a socket for the drain plug of every vehicle I own.

The magnet is fairly powerful and pulled out of the socket and stuck to the 3rd bolt I removed with it.

Excellent. The magnet is super strong. I purchased it to install wheel locks without dropping the key in between the wheels. This holds the key so well I often pulled the socket off the impact if I didn't hold the socket.

Works very well to hang on to oil drain plugs and keep them from falling into the drain pan. Magnet is plenty strong.

It was perfect for removing and installing torque converter bolts on a BMW Automatic transmission. Last thing you want is for them to fall in between the flywheel and the bell housing upon installation.
