I bought these because I was converting an 80's dropbar bike and these were the perfect fit, the bar clamp area is 25.4mm so it'll fit a lot of stems. The bar is Swedged back by 6° which feels comfortable while riding, made out of aluminum & won't tip the scales

So moron that I am, I bought a beautiful State Bicycle Company road bike and quickly realized I should have just bought a frame and built the thing from scratch. The sad but true fact is you can get everything you need on Amazon and while the bulk of the parts are made in China, they are pretty decent quality and priced competitively. I might have saved over $300.00 USD to get to the same point I wound up with.Case in point: handlebars. My bike came with drop downs which I abhor and I bought these knowing I’d change them right away. I had some 520mm Nitto straight bars I thought I’d like and due to the aggressive geometry of the State frame found them unsettling for the kind of recreational/quasi-fitness ambling I enjoy, hence this purchase. The polished aluminum won’t pass for the heavy chrome plating of yore but is pleasant to behold just the same. And for the price, you could run these out to a plating company if it was important to you and not have to add a mortgage to your house…FYI, I’m a 66 year old male in decent shape, 5’ 8” with a 28” inseam, normal reach. My frame is a small with 700c wheels and 170mm crank (and still a little tall for absolute comfort; an extra small frame would have been a better choice. Live and learn…). All this to say this bar, with a slight sweep and 660mm width is perfect for my preferred upright riding. So punks and geezers alike: if you’re considering converting the old Schwinn Varsity in the shed into a more palatable road bike, this is a handlebar you want to put high on your list of potential replacements!

The aluminum has to be a bit thicker I suppose and doesn't accept the end caps. Not going to knock off a star for that. Nice bright finish. Fits well and looks nice on my project Schwinn Hybrid. Wish Amazon allowed photos still :/

I bought this flat bar for an older bike that had an original steel flat bar. This bar is truly an upgrade. It is lighter and as other reviewers have pointed out has a good polished finish and is a stout bar. No flex with this bar. The 6-degree bend feels natural.

I got these bars for my fixed gear, and sawed them to 16in long. I hack sawed them in only about 5 mins too. They are flat, and have a 6 degree bend. They weigh about as much as any other bars, maybe slightly heavier because they're thicker.

Just needed a replacement bar for my old bike. This bike is a daily commuter / light hard packed trail. So ordered these from Niagara Cycle"order from them quite often btw". Light and easy to install, comes in 25.4mm for the older vintage MTBikes : ). Lets see how long they hold up. So far so good, nice price as well.

I needed a new handle bar to re-build an old bike, and this fit the bill quite nicely. The weight of it scared me. It weighs almost nothing and I figured it would bend on the first pot hole. But no, I'm not exactly sure what type of metal this is, but it's quite strong. The paint is also surprisingly durable, I've yet to scratch it with all the monkeying I've been doing with brake levers and shifters... Highly recommended.
