Both the feel and the sound of the click-stops are rather subtle. Be careful or you could miss your next indexed stop if your detent interval setting knob is set too loose. Also (see photo) where are Key Components 10,11,12, and 13?

seems to be very well built but have not yet used it in the field

Very solid and heavy build. Smooth movement and a great overall feel. I'm using it to attach a (lightweight carbon) jib to my tripod because it gives me the ability to swing on axis in conjunction with the vertical movements. With a DSLR (Sony A7) it has a great response and feel.

I have always wanted to venture into panoramic photos however my first few were problematic. It was a choice between this an another more pricier item which according to the descriptions of both did exactly the same thing. I purchased this and have been very happy with the results and ease of use. By the way, I have purchased other Sunwayfoto products and have also been beyond satisfied with the company.

I have this and a Nodal Ninja pano head. I think the quality of the Sunwayfoto rotator is as good if not better than the more expensive Nodal Ninja. I use the Sunwayfoto more often since it is easier to carry. Note that I do not do spherical panoramas with the Sunawayfoto pano head, as I do with the NodalNinja (which has an elevation rotator index also).

Works as advertised! The clicks are crisp and the workmanship is top notch. The angles are precise and there is no wobble. I bought a Sunwayfoto round clamp DDY-64iL that is a perfect match to this rotator. No more looking at the viewfinder to estimate the overlap. Click click click a few times and a panorama sequence is done. Rotating exact angles by hand feel alone saves much time. More importantly it reduces the time lag between shots minimizing lighting variation.
