The scissors are actually really great. The reasons why I gave them two stars those is they did not last very long. Within 4-6 months I noticed the painted started to chip off. Immediately after that the rust came in. I have had them for a year now and last week they rusted shut. Very easy to take apart and sand it all down. Spray painted them again but the painted is already scraping off. My point look for stainless steel and scissors without paint.

I will freely admit to not knowing much about the quality of scissors, but from the descriptions of this pair as well as others, I figured these were the best all around scissors, and I was right. Every thing about them from the weight to how sharp they are to how comfortable they are to use was clear from putting them in my hand for the first time. The complimentary thread clippers were an equally pleasant surprise.To those that might think these are expensive, you are absolutely right, however they are well worth every penny.

I love these scissors! They easily cut through the thick plastic that I once needed half my husband's tools to open. Why manufacturers use this material to enclose everything from toothbrush heads to electronics, I haven't a clue, but I finally found scissors that are stronger than the plastic. On behalf of my fingernails, I thank you!

Good scissors, cuts very nicely, feels very precise. But I'm returning it because the grips weren't very comfortable and the scissors' balance was far enough forward that it actually felt heavier to hold than the Kai 10" scissors I wound up keeping which actually weighed over an ounce more. Also, I didn't like that this scissor came bathed in a thin coating of oil, indicating that the steel would rust. I'm an artist needing always clean scissors to cut the paper of my work.

My wife uses these for crafting with felt and other thick materials. She always struggled with regular scissors. She loves these! They cut easily through fabrics and are nice and sturdy.

Sharp.Good quality - (Made in USA).Came with a gift; a traditional thread clipper (see attached photo)It's made up of High Carbon Steel, I plan to keep it away from water and other corrosive liquids.Evergreen wants you to apply 2 drops of household oil every 6 to 12 months.
