This surfboard mount is very easy to assemble and install, and they've done a nice job of giving you everything you need, from a screwdriver to a non-slip mat to go underneath. I also like the padding on the arms, giving everything a gentle landing. But with two screws attaching it to the wall, and extended arms to hold the surfboard (or in my case, light stands), the mount wobbles up and down a lot-- and I've got one screw going into a stud behind the drywall. Heaven forbid you rest your weight on the arm by mistake. I'm not sure you can get around this issue, given the design. And I wish that manufacturers understood wall construction a little better. Most modern construction has studs spaced 16 inches a part (it's code). So having screw holes spaced accordingly is much better design (16" or 32"); these are 26" inches apart.

I try to install racks for all the sports equipment. It does not just increase useful space, but also keeps things dry, secure, on display (easy to grab) and safe.Installation was relatively easy, worth the task. Unfortunately I could not put my 2 SUP boards, the ceiling is too low, but the smaller (95-120 liter boards fit nicely). I can also fit two pairs of skis in one of the slots.I highly recommend this wall-mount surf board rack, it is very practical and makes your basement or garage wall look cool.

It’s true that this just comes with a parts list and no instructions. And the mat is thin and pointless (I put folded towels under my boards). But I was able to screw it into a stud in the storage closet in my garage and it’s very sturdy. See my photos. I recommend this for keeping your boards upright and balanced. But if you’re looking for something aesthetically pleasing to go in your house or something just pay more for one of the other systems on Amazon. This is working great for me.

It only has places to mount on a two piece board rack from the outside only so the center droops. Came with no directions and the wall mounts for the screws do not align. The screws are way too small for the mounts that they gave.

Works great, its nicer than I expected for the price. Couldn't have built one at this price.Mat is great and doesn't hold sand. The pads on the bars are nice dense foam. Goes together easy and is more than durable enough. Stoked on this thing. Never building my own out of wood again.I did use my own drywall screws rather than the ones that came with it, but i'm sure the ones it came with are fine.
