This is tough and built to tackle anything on your camping trip. I have barely utilised half the things it can do but love having it in the back of my van when travelling. Feel like MacGyver and ready for anything with this!

Okay, I'll be honest, I originally got this as a joke gift for a friend. I was going to label it "zombie apocalypse survival kit", and we were all going to have a good laugh, then it was destined to spend its life in the back of a cupboard. Having had a play around with this, I've realised that if I'm going down the joke gift route, I'm going to have to have a rethink, because this thing is legit!It's smaller than I thought it was going to be, as some of the pictures on the listing are possibly a little misleading, but if you know someone who's into 4 wheel driving and camping off-grid, this would make a fantastic gift!The pieces screw together nice and tight, with rubber seals between the sections to keep dust and dirt out, so it will take a lot of abuse. It feels absolutely solid, which is reassuring, especially with the hatchet on the end of it. It's all made from good quality thick metal, and the bits that are supposed to be sharp have a great edge on them. Not so sharp that they'll be fragile and go blunt quickly, but plenty sharp enough to serve the purpose they're designed for.My mind's made up, I'm definitely keeping this for myself!

It's quite a large heavy duty case. Everything is well organised inside. Some of the tools are not particularly useful in this form factor and seem a little weird to include, but the important things are all there. The shovel feels really solid, the knife and harpoon are sharp, the handle pieces all thread together well and feel very strong.It takes a little while to screw everything together, and it needs to be completely dismantled to get it back into the case. I'm not sure when this will be useful but it's a fun gift!

This is a cleverly designed kit. Liked it so much I bought another one for a gift. Haven't used in the garden or camping yet but will update this review if anything disappoints. Just enjoying the assembly at this stage.

This is an amazing kit. It's really durable too. The shovel is surprisingly sharp! We are very pleased and will be testing it out shortly. All the pieces fit as expected. Not sure if it will last the test of time but long enough to make life easier in a survival situation and maybe a little longer.
