Which END Cart do I buy?

An END Cart carries about half of the weight, much like when 2 people carry the kayak. The great thing about an END Cart is it only takes 15 seconds to load the kayak. The Large and the XL End Cart have identical construction, both adjusting to a vertical opening of 12” to 18”. The differentiating feature is width of the opening between the legs with the Large at 19” and the XL at 24”

  • If the kayak is less than 28” wide at the center, the Large is the right fit.
  • If the kayak is greater than 28” wide at the center, the XL is the right fit.
  • If the kayak is less than 20” wide at the center, these End Carts are not suitable.

I am using this on two Wilderness Aspire kayaks. The bow is a sloppy fit on the v-shaped crossbar, and the kayak doesn’t sit flat- rolling into a partial turn position. When pulling uphill, it falls off easily. The video assembly instructions are a bit comical, and not real helpful. Overall, a waste of good money.

I use this cart on a 21' fiberglass Seaward tandem kayak. It is a very clever, durable design that is really easy to use and the cart collapses for easy storage. Just brilliant!

My error that I thought the dimensions of my ordered kayak were smaller than I thought they would be, so the cart is to small for my larger kayak.The cart is well made, just not for my kayak.

Appears good and sturdy. The one I got was the smaller size which was too narrow for my fishing kayak. HOWEVER, 3/4 inch electrical conduit worked great to extend the cross pieces. Mine were @5 inches each. Drill a couple of holes in each and bolt them on. Fits fine now.

My only mistake is I should have purchased the larger model. This works well but the larger model would enable me to pull the wheels farther up the kayak body. We used this yesterday and were extremely happy with it getting the kayak down to the water. A number of people stopped us and wanted to know where to obtain this.

Very sturdy but slightly heavier than anticipated. The padding for the cross bar could be thicker to better support a v-shaped hull with hard chine.
