I got this hammock for caming up north, but it didn't have the straps or the S hooks that were supposed to be included. Instead, it came with a medium size rope, about 4 to 5 feet in total length, tied to each end of the hammock. Since I was planning on using the hammock between trees with somewhat smooth trunks, I returned the hammock. I didn't trust the ropes to not slide down the tree trunks, or to not break under my weight.

The ropes it came with to help secure the hammock could not withstand the 450 lbs weight limit they said. I (155 lbs) and my wife (105 lbs) sat in the hammock and the ropes broke immediately, causing us to fall onto our hammock pipe and get injured. Do not recommend.
