Worked great on my certification and first dive trip. 12 dives total now and no issues. Had no problem connecting to the software and syncing the dive data after the dive. I guess there will never be any firmware updates though according to the website, that is a little worrying. But all in ll a solid beginner and casual diver computer perfect for me and my maybe once or twice a year diving. I bought the extra battery and cover, but it is still holding up there even after using and storing for 2+ months between dives. **On one dive trip I had a "divemaster" couple who thought they were the top dogs... They had a much more expensive and "better" computer and they let me know it. Well on a 90ft dive guess who computers failed? one got water and the other got decomp alerts that everyone could hear... Theirs! My buddy and I had a comparable "beginners computer" as they put it... rubbed it in pretty hard. Like I said no regrets and a good little watch.

First time diving in almost 5 years and I decided to buy a computer after discussing it with my dive instructor (refresher course). I still do my dive tables but I wanted a better sense of accuracy regarding bottom time, current/total depth and surface interval. I was nervous at first since the directions it came with weren't the best. My suggestion, YouTube it! I looked at several videos several times and felt comfortable by the time my dive approached. As soon as I returned from my dive, I plugged it in to my computer and downloaded both dives. The software isn't the best but provides a good amount of data as well as a place for additional notes. For beginners, this is the watch! I spent a week and countless hours looking at reviews from multiple sites before buying my Zoop! CAn't wait for the next dive!

This is an outstanding beginning dive computer. I just used the computer on multiple dives and it worked perfectly as advertised. The deepest dive was 144 feet and the computer worked like a champ. The other dives ranged from 90 to 60 feet and the computer provided everything I needed to record the dive and dive safely. The on surface features were very helpful to record the dive details later in my log book. I found the modes and menus to be easy to use ONCE you read the instructions online. Don't take this out of the box and right into the water unless you have used before. I didn't have any issue pushing the buttons but I didn't wear gloves for this dive. The band is certainly long enough for an 8 mm wetsuit. I found the band annoying as hell due to its length and getting in my way. SO, while I don't necessarily recommend this, I never wear a wet suit (I'm a warm water diver), so I cut the band with some room to spare in case I ever wear a shortie or to go over a long sleeve rash guard. Once I trimmed it, there was no problem whatsoever with it blocking the display or anything. Again, don't do this if you ever dive cold water, as once you cut, you can't go back :o)Overall, I love this computer and I can't wait to use it more. I am going to buy my wife one to use on our next dive!

Just returned from diving in Turks & Caicos. This dive computer was exactly what I needed. I'm not a very frequent diver -- one to a few times a year -- but I like to dive and this tracks everything a diver needs: depth, temp, ascent, descent, safety stops, no fly time etc. It is very simple to operate -- you set it up once, verify the settings before you dive and it takes care of the rest. Coincidentally, the dive outfit I went with rents these same computers so I guessing their reliability is good, especially given the reasonable price.

The dive computer worked well under water. Just came back from a trip where we managed 19 dives in a week. Displays easy to read in water. But... on the surface the user interface was a real pain in the neck, to get to the dive log you need to go through many steps and to read past dive takes a lot of effort (make sure you bring the manual. It may be easier with the computer connection. My second computer died on my last trip to Roatan and I am in the market for another computer, Not going to buy another ZOOP

The dive shop where I certified and have done most of my diving supplies console mounted Zoops with their regulators, so I have used it for a few years. I finally decided to get my own and bought the Zoop. I used it last month on 4 dives and it worked perfectly from the beginning. I have read reviews that cite difficulties in using the direct download of data to computer logs so I did not buy the expensive software and cable package. This is not a big deal to me. The professionals that I have dived with all think this is a very good computer. It is conservative, but I am a conservative guy. I wear glasses but do not need them while diving. The display in this device is large and easy to read. Like any computer, before diving, one must go over the manual and be familiar with the operation and display. It is not necessary to touch it while on the dive. Using the functions to extract post-dive data is a little cumbersome and requires a little practice. All-in-all, a great value.

Buy it, read and try to decipher the manual and at least TRY to set the date and time before getting in the water, and then go diving with someone who has a computer they understand. After about 3-4 dives, the ZOOP is completely understandable. I'm a recreational diver with PADI AOW cert. and about 40 dives. This is my first computer and, now that I've figured it out, I'm very happy with it. Maybe I'm not experienced enough to know the difference between the ZOOP and a $1200 computer, but for my uses, this is priced well and gives me all the information I need. I would recommend it to anyone who dives for fun.
