These blocking mats are perfect for all my knitting projects. They are easily stored in their bag when not in use. I wish the kit would have included more of the comb pins rather than so many t-pins, but that is just personal preference. Overall a great product for a good price.

Although the mats are nice for blocking and interlock well, the grid lines don't match up between each mat which makes the purposes of this difficult. The reason for blocking is to assure uniformity and sizing in your project. Having to eyeball this is difficult..

I just started crocheting again after a 14 year hiatus. I crocheted a baby blanket that just didn’t out Quite even Along the edges. I was able to use these blocking squares to straighten out the blanket. I ordered another set to block the full blanket once it was finished. The blanket turned out beautifully.

The smell of these foam squares nearly knocked me out when I opened the package. I'm hoping it dissipates quickly... They did come in a handy carrying tote and this will definitely be more useful and easier to store than the bulletin board I've been using to block items (if the smell goes away). There were a few small chips in a couple of the foam pieces, but these aren't going to be pristine for long anyway. They're not self-healing (and didn't say that they were), so holes are going to accumulate. The biggest issue that I see is that the squares are not quite a full inch. As I hope you can see from the photos, the vertical joins line up perfectly, and if you measure from left to right you lose 1/8" every twelve inches. The horizontal joins are NOT lined up. I went back and looked, and it does show that in the photos. So there is an elongated square at the horizontal joins. Measuring from top to bottom you also lose 1/8" every twelve inches, but those elongated squares provide a correction by adding that 1/8" back in. This is "close enough for government work," but if you require a little more precision you'll need to make your own corrections. Not bad, but not great for the price. I also don't quite understand how they got those elongated squares. I'd think that they'd stamp the entire pattern, and then cut the puzzle pieces. But it doesn't seem like it was done that way. Maybe foam isn't stable enough.

Worth 10x their weight in gold. I ordered two sets and I can set them out like a frame to block full size blankets. I can pin out multiple pieces side by side to decide how I want to arrange and connect them. I’ve taken two of the boards and pinned them to each side of a bag that I made and then stuffed it, so it was blocked for shaping after it was fully assembled. They came with enough pins to block tons of pieces. So much more versatile than small wooden blocking boards
