Astronomy Tips Actual magnification = telescope objective lens focal length / eyepiece focal length * Barlow lens multiple. When you do not change the telescope you use, if you want to observe more in-depth planetary details, you need to choose a high magnification eyepiece such as 4mm, 6mm, 9mm, etc.
Note: The effective magnification of the telescope is theoretically twice the diameter of the objective lens. If the diameter of the telescope's objective lens is 80mm, the effective magnification is 160x. If the effective magnification is exceeded, the focus will not be normal or the image quality will be poor.
