The Good:I love the look of these live red rili shrimp. They are lively and excellent cleaners. The red and clear stripe pattern is a great contrast and it's really interesting to be able to easily see the egg sacks and babies on these shrimp when they are gestating. The little pattern variations for where red "spots" and the clear stripe end up are great and give each shrimp a bit of distinguishing personality.I'll most likely order more of these until I have a well established colony.I've had had several rounds of bad luck with environmental factors that were unrelated to the excellent quality the vendor supplies. The vendor also makes sure these arrive in the best condition they can. Even though I ordered during a cold snap, the shrimp arrived with only a couple deceased from the stress of transit. The warm months are more difficult on the shrimp, from my experience, but the care of the packaging used makes a big difference, and the vendor stands by the arrival of live and healthy specimens. They can't control if the shipper actually follows instructions for live cargo, but they do the best they can with the live-arrive guarantee and easy-to-follow instructions for reporting an issue. Although shipping commentary is normally not something allowed in a review, I think it's important that the vendor's live cargo care be a point in favor of the product.Ooopsie:This time I got sent one set of shrimp in a variety other than what I ordered. The vendor communicated with me and worked very quickly to make it right. Both communication and replacement order were fast and courteous. You can see some of the red cherry shrimp that were erroneously sent in one of my pictures. I am trying to move them out soon to keep the red rili pattern "clean" and not crossbreed the "wild" pattern into my population. The Meh:I have only purchased my shrimp from this vendor, and one of the previous two batches of red rili had ONE shrimp that developed a case of Cladogonium Ogishimae (green fungus). This is not a problem for your shrimp if treated quickly enough! I isolated the affected shrimp and I am treating it with salt baths and peroxide. The fungus has been shrinking quickly after only two salt dip treatments, so I'm hopeful I will save it, as the pattern on this one is nice and distinct. No seller can completely prevent something like a "hidden" fungus or parasite. It happens. Quarantine your new pets and inspect them carefully for any issues before putting them in their permanent new home.If you do find something wrong, the best practice is to isolate the affected shrimp and communicate with the vendor so they can take appropriate action to correct any problem with the supply on their end.I have provided a picture of the green (yellow) fungus-infected shrimp so you can be aware of what it looks like. It is a similar look to the shrimp being "berried", so you have to look closely to see the difference. The fungus infection is almost a fluffy texture and sticks out past the abdomen of the shrimp. I will provide a picture later of it when treatment is completed (assuming it survives) or at least an update on it.Conclusion:I am well satisfied and will order red rili again if I want more. They don't give me enough "characters" on the vendor review section to allow me to make sure I get across how much I was happy with all three transactions I've had with this seller so far and with these neocaridina. I may eventually start a new tank and order the blue dream color variety.

This is a revised review. The initial order was wrong. After a little back and forth messaging, they sent me the correct and I am satisfied with the order.

Took 5 days to be here but all arrived alive ans swimming, my water parameters are all fine (PH 7.3) and ammonia zero, nitrite zero, nitrate zero. I would definitely not buy animals online if they take almost a week to be here even I paying for fast delivery took 5/6 days, could be here by Friday and arrived Tuesday close to night so just don’t buy it and order from some trustable store that takes at the max 2 days to be in your home.

I ordered 20 and received 21. All were alive. There were great instructions on how to accimate to the tank as well. The only odd thing with shipping is that the package woulds stay in certain towns for a day or two for no particular reason that I could tell. However, they still arrived at the expected time/date.

I believe at least 2 shrimps released babies during shipping and I now have approximately 40 billion shrimp babies and one more berried shrimp! Their color is absolutely gorgeous! Couldn’t be happier with this order

I would definitely order from Swimming Creatures again. Their customer service was fantastic. I had some DOA’s and reached out to them, immediately they responded and I was refunded for the 5 DOA’s within a couple days. The shrimp was packed very nicely, I just think they passed because of the heat. In April I ordered form a different company and still haven’t heard back from them so I would recommend Swimming Creatures every time.

It was packed well and shipped quick. I received 23 shrimps, but 2 were DOA. 6 of them were barried! Some of them are more solid colored than others, but they are all very beautiful in my book. There were also 7 tiny babies, and a bladder snail hitchhiked in the bag… which may be a plus for someone who wants a snail, but I didn’t.After acclimating to a cycled nano tank, 4 more died in the next 3 days, even though the water condition is in good levels, plenty of algae and bacteria film for them etc. However, the rest seemed to be doing well after a little over a week, and at least one of the barried mamas released the babies, so now I have a bunch of little tiny shrimps in the tank. They’ve also been molting well, see the little left over shells. They are always busy cleaning up the algae, don’t get spooked very easily at all, so it’s very relaxing to watch. Overall I am very happy with them, but be warned that it may come with bladder snails, so if you don’t want them, check the bag / water carefully. And carefully check for babies as well, they are so transparent and tiny, I didn’t seem them until I was taking a pic of the snail left behind in the acclimating container.

I ordered them on Monday and they arrived on Thursday, which was quite quick considering they came to Florida from California. Some of them died in transit, but the seller was very quick to respond about the DoA. They are very beautiful shrimp, and have taken quickly to their tank after drip acclimating them. They were a great value and I would absolutely buy from this seller again!
