I bought a backseat extender for my dog to ride in the second row of seats in my minivan. It came with metal snap hooks for the seat belt attachment and the attachments to the headrests. It came with plastic snap hooks for the door protection hanging support straps. The plastic snap hooks were very stiff and not substantial. I ordered these heavy duty snap hooks to replace the plastic snap hooks that hold the door protection parts up. MUCH easier to use. When you have a dog that is nervous about riding in the car, you have to get them secured quickly before they can jump out of the car. These are great! Now, I just have to be quicker than my puppy!

I do videos of animal shelter dogs and make my own leashes for them using these snap hooks. I have about 20 of them. The shelter uses other leashes and they get jammed sometimes. These never do, but then I rinse them off and wash them routinely. They've been working great for about a year now.

I like the sturdiness of the item; It is not cheap and I use the for various projects, purse making, cell phone straps, and to connect the lease on my dog's harness. These are perfect. I really like them.
