Is it just bling or does it really deliver benefits? Not sure. But it looks amazing and it’s 2x easier to clean than the stock cage. Install was easy and quality seems amazing. I’m at probably 500miles on it and zero issues. Convince me the one that’s 3x the price is better.

I was a little hesitant to order based on some of the reviews. However, I had zero issues with this derailleur pulley cage on my SRAM GX AXS. I saw some people commented on they needed to use a different bolt or shave it down to fit an AXS, but in my case mine bolted right up using my existing cage bolt and the retention bolt provided in the box.I was also worried about durability, but I clocked in over 500 miles of dirt, mud, and rain on a 250 watt ebike full of bikepacking gear with zero pulley issues.Mine was true right out the box and paired with my AXS GX perfectly. Shifting was crisp and clean. You don't realize how bent your cage is until you put on a new one.

Needed to put a bolt through instead of the retaining nut as the body of the AX is bigger. Most bike guys will have a small 3mm to swap out. Other than that it was a breeze to change. I fully realize they are making a ton of money but what choice do you have? Pay hundreds more for a ceramic speed cage or buy a new derailleur? This was easy and I’m happy to have it working cleanly again.

So far so good. I've only went on one ride since install So only time will tell. Extremely light weight compared to stock. Rides very smooth. Over all I'm impressed and very happy with the purchase and I can most definitely notice the difference in performance. Installed with Sram eagle nx derailleur on a norco fluid fs 3 2021 would most definitely recommend. Thanks. Luke

Mounted quickly. Required no derailleur adjustment. Light weight . . . over 2 oz lighter than OME.

Great alternative to the Kogel cage. Shift smooth if tuned right. Pulleys strong thus far over rocks and roots. Will update soon if I remember

So as this seems to be the only way to get a complete cage to repair an Eagle derailleur it still is not a very good option. I had bought this to repair a broken one and keep as spare until I needed it. I bought this last year but did not need to replace the one on my bike until this week. install was fairly easy to replace the factory cage. the angle on this unit was definitely off and I had to bend the cage a bit to align the jockey wheels with the cassette for proper shifting. it DID really make a noticeable difference with pedaling drag. it DID NOT last very long. within 5 miles on the first ride the upper jockey wheel snapped in half. The metal of the wheels is just cheap alloy and way too thin to hold up to pedaling forces. they also would not survive any sort of impact.Pros-Lightweight-replaces the entire Eagle cage inner and outer-reduces pedaling drag (larger pulley benefit)Cons-Cheap thin alloy for wheels.-will not survive any sort of strike-Can't hold up to strong pedaling.

I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to give this company a shout out for making this product. As of March of 2020, Sram does NOT sell a lower cage for their AXS X01 rear mech. In fact, they do not sell parts for the AXS X01 mech and they have NO crash replacement kind of program. If you bend your AXS X01 lower cage like I did, Sram will NOT help you out in any way. Their recommendation? Sorry, but you have to shell out for another complete mech.I'm so glad KCNC makes this lower cage because it saved me from buying a whole new derailleur. Now Sram does recommend against using any 3rd party cages and they also kind of threatened that my warranty would be voided, but guess what? There is no warranty for this if you crash it anyway; so might as well do everything you can to get back riding again.Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is a bolt included with this cage that does not fit with the rest of the AXS mech. The bolt that is on the AXS mech will not work with this cage. So my LBS mechanic had to grind the KCNC's bolt to make it work. I'm not sure what exactly he did, but it does work in all gears and it doesn't sound any louder than it used to be or anything like that. So I'm a happy customer.
