The “new” one I was sent sticks open worse than the one I was trying to replace. Seems like they are selling rebuilt parts that don’t even work.

I'm updating this review. The first product I got didn't latch but it did properly communicate to the car computer that the door was shut. It had issues latching though. Once I got the replacement it latched properly and also communicated that the trunk was latched. I bought a $250 part from oriellys and it latched but didn't communicate that the trunk was latched. I'll be excited to return the $250 part to oriellys that ended up not working. That said, I'd rather dealing with going through a replacement part of two if it means not paying $250 for a part from a big box store.

Fit perfect in our 2018 Kia Forte LX. Had it done in about 15-20 mins. Hardest part of the entire job was getting the manual release to fit into the bracket as it is just a tiny bit smaller than the factory one. Wasn’t even that much harder. Totally recommend! We will see how long it lasts now. The factory one lasted 114k miles and almost 7 years and my wife drives for spark so she is constantly opening the trunk.
