Great improvement over solar using a low voltage converter and thin, long power cord! Over recent years I've gone through seven of the little floating solar fountains. (Yes, embarrassing.) I've had them last as long as 11 months, but the last few only worked for 6-8 weeks. The performance is also very spotty depending ont the angle and intensity of the sun. We'll see how long this low voltage unit lasts. But it pumps like crazy at the same tempo and looks good!REVISED: Well heck! This thing died within about a month! It seemed like a good idea, but NO. I would have tried a second one, but after several weeks it never shipped and I cancelled the order.

This item is the best in so many ways but.... I have found that no matter which attachment I use it OVERSPRAYS out of my Fountain really fast even when on the lowest setting, I would never use the high settings... My Fountain is large but it does not make any difference. I believe that is why some are saying the unit does not last. I am sure that if the unit does not have water it will burn out or just ends working since it does not shut off when water is not not available. In the past I have spent much $$$ for Solar models which do not work for me, needs constant SUN. This Electric Model is wonderful, has a very long extension cord, the unit really pushes the water out maybe to much because I have to fill my Fountain constantly, every 1/2 hr. since the water is being lost or wasted due to the high pressure on low setting plus my birds are not happy because the water level is not where they can get a drink, maybe a shallow bath only. I realize that SOME of the loss of water is from EVAPORATION but my problem is definitely OVERSPRAY. I have NOT viewed the color lights which are on all the time, cannot shut them off during the day when you don't need them, wish you could add a switch to shut off the lights during the day, you do have to unplug every time you need to turn the unit off, would be nice to have an on/off button available up close to either shut off the unit or shut off the lights when not using. I do like this Fountain Unit even though it is an inconvenience at times, just one more task for me as far as adding water all of the time.

Excellent very powerful little pump. Vary power of water flow.The lights add to the flow of the water. Extensive length of cable. Definitely recommend

It was a nice little fountain that came with several attachments and a lever to adjust height which allows you to create the water stream suitable for whatever size bird bath you may have. Unfortunately, the motor burned out in less than 3 months. I stayed on top of making sure the bird bath was full of water, because this pump doesn't turn off automatically in low water, so I know it wasn't on my end. The lights still work, but the pump is dead

I'm using this on a fountain in a barrel and it's great to hear the water from the fountain! It comes with many, easy to install heads, and flow can be adjusted. The light is a cool feature and it feels very quality. It's a good value for money and performs well outside and inside (I have two on two separate fountains)

Update!I had tried to clean the fountain several times but I just noticed that there is an area I can open. Inside there is a filter that is all gummed up. I replaced it with the extra one provided and it is now working like a charm!The fountain was really beautiful for about a month. Unfortunately the fountain’s output then started declining after that. I cleaned the water and filter regularly but now, after only 6 weeks, it has now quit. Too bad. I really liked the look of it. I’m upset that the return window has closed and I can’t get a refund. Not fair. Don’t order this.

Nice fountain, and comes with different fountain heads so you can decide how you would like the water to flow. The suction stays strong in water so the fountain stays in place. You are provided with plenty of plug cord, which helps for placement of the fountain. You can use this indoors or out with it being plug in, and the light looks great at night, no sun needed.

I have had this running for about 6 months now, and it works really well. I have it in a small bird bath, so I am only using the single hole nozzle to minimize splashing. If it was larger, or deeper, the other attachments were really neat, and can shoot up 2-3 feet. This is easy to clean, just unplug the cord, carry the unit in, pop out the sponge and clean the sponge and unit. I have had small pumps like this before, but they never lasted. I highly recommend this pump, and if you have a large enough basin or can refill yours every day, you will like all of the different nozzles. Especially at night, they all look really neat!

I wanted a birdbath fountain because hummers love the spray and it keeps the water moving. Solar didn’t work for me because my birdbath is in a sheltered spot but did have access to electricity. This one runs like a charm and has all different levels of spray. My water tends to get lots of seed and such in it and the filter on the fountain collects it. I need to remove it every few days to clear it out but it is super easy to do. The fountain keeps running no matter how much stuff is covering the filter, but it can’t be good for it. I’ve noticed that the birdbath water stays cleaner filtered out and I love that the colored lights are on at night, too! This is a great little fountain!
