If you start looking at TQs you'll find a broad spectrum of offerings. The RAT, which is an inexpensive and glorified bungie cord. Would I use one? If I had nothing else on hand, sure.CAT? Better than the RAT by a mile, and used to be my standard to keep on hand everywhere (literally, everywhere). Then I was introduced to the SOFTT from Tac Med, and it really changed my opinion on what a TQ can and should be built like. They cost more, but now I have these (surprise!) everywhere, with my old CATs with them as tertiary backups.If you're looking for the one IFAK component that is the make-it-or-break-it in a life and death scenario, the TQ is it. Don't skimp, don't cut corners. Get some SOFTTs, have them handy everywhere.
