There's not a lot of information out there about this TacGear smock, but it is very well built. The colorway of the Flecktarn is true to spec. The features and mfg. quality of this TacGear smock are very similar to the Arktis' mountain smock. The detachable hood is an enhancement that is unique to TacGear, as are the slightly longer cuffs on one side of the sleeves, and the bi swing back (for freedom of movement). It has the same build quality throughout as the Arktis with the exception of the two vertical zippers for the map pockets which have only one row of stitching around the perimeter instead of two. Overall, it is exceptional and very comparable to an Arktis but at two-thirds the price, and with the few unique features mentioned above.Pair it with an Arktis Rainshield jacket as liner and you have yourself a waterproof smock when you need one and you have plenty of pockets to choose from to stow it in.As for fit, I normally wear a medium long in military-style clothing. I'm 6'4, 41" chest, 20" shoulders, and 36" sleeve length and this smock fits great with just enough room to add additional layers as needed for cold weather or to wear it over a plate carrier/chest rig.As for features, there are only two very small nits: 1) the main zipper lacks a small tab at the bottom of the track that helps you get grip it when inserting it into the pull tab. This is handy feature when you're wearing gloves; 2) opening the two zippered pockets on the sleeve is somewhat cumbersome because the zippers are a bit stiff, mainly due to the added resistance of the covers that help keep out dust and other debris. Due to the placement of the sleeve pockets and loose fit of the garment (allows for layering), the pockets move around before the zippers do. This may resolve itself as the zippers wear in over time.If you're looking for a bargain on great piece of kit, this is it.

Zero dislikes or cons, save for swimming in the size which, in some other companies" products, would be too tight. Nevertheless, excellent product , and once exchanged for one size smaller, will be perfect
