I've been using a PROSUN for 2 months for warehouse packing and it works very well. I wanted a back up and stumbled across the Tach-It. Here is my comparison of the 2 brands. Out of the box, the Tach-It seems much studier than the PROSUN. The handle on the Tach-It has a nice grip and is very solid feeling. The handle on the PROSUN is smooth and the plastic feels thin. I prefer the handle on Tach-It. The metal bar on the PROSUN locks in the open position to make changing tape rolls easier. The Tach-It does not lock back so you need to be careful not to let it smack your fingers when changing rolls. Points go to PROSUN for this feature. Onto performance, the PROSUN has been operating well for 2 months of abuse, the tension remains quite smooth until you reach the end of the roll. When you near the end, the tension lessons, not a big deal to me. Tension is not adjustable on either brand. The Tach-It, in my opinion, had too much tension and took too much effort to pull tape. I didn't even get through a full roll before switching back to the PROSUN. If you are using the tape gun all day, I'd recommend the PROSUN. If you only need a tape gun on occasion, either one would be just fine. If the handle from the Tach-It was placed on the PROSUN, it would be an awesome gun.

FREAKING AWESOME. We go through a dozen or more rolls of tape every day.We have been using another brand of this type of gun but this one is now my new go-to.Great tension and much quieter.

I have used several different styles of tape guns in the past, and this is my favorite design. Very easy to load, and use. Also it will outlast other designs.

Much better than the normal tape dispensers where the tape sticks to the metal spring plate. Very easy to load and a nice rubber grip on the handle.

Good tape dispenser, will fit most rolls of tape. The serrated razor blade is very sharp. But I do find rolling of tape a little more cumbersome than the ones with a dedicated roller wheel for the roll of tape instead of the bar present in this item. I do not know if it is the spring that is to strong or what. Other than than, nice product.

Wow! Not only is this tape gun cheap, but it has a great build guality and works flauslesly. This is my second one, not replacing any, just adding another because it’s so good! Definetly recommend this tape gun to anyone who needs it! Works with any 2” tape.

This type tape dispenser while called quiet Is GREAT because it holds the roll of tape in place and doesn't let it go flying off. Since the tape stays in place the tape cutter also works GREAT! It is a bit quieter which isn't that important to me but the way it works otherwise is EXCELLENT.I highly recommend this of the type dispenser where you push the roll of tape onto a roller - those are USELESS

Nice product; I like the way it holds the roll of tape, which prevents the roll of tape from falling off. Unfortunately, it also has a problem with the tape often getting caught in the mechanism, which requires some effort to pull off.

works fine but could use a spring-catch to allow easier loading and feeding of tape

Review of Tach-It EX5R 2" Wide Lightweight Ergonomic Tape gunWorks fabulously! I love this design! Spring arm keeps tape roll firmly against dispense roller so there is no tape feed difference between roll of tape and roller. Much better than standard design which always has the 2 inches or so of tape between roller and roll "flapping" around and getting stuck to parts of the gun. This does not do that! Tape roll stays in place securely too! Light weight and smaller than std. design!

I ordered this tape gun to replace an inferior design where the tape just fits onto a snug cylinder. The tape is always falling off of that one which really makes it hard to tape.Tape guns with this metal bar that goes through the middle and pushes the tape into a cradle are the best design because then the tape does not fall off the gun. This tape gun follows that design and I am very happy with it. Now I tape up my Amazon boxes quickly and effortlessly.
