Easy install and resurrected my 20-year-old 30 inch wall clock, which no longer kept time - working; not-working. High torque time movement works well with very long clock hands (21 inch minute hand). Cheap fix for a wall clock that would cost $150 and up to replace.

Item received and all looked great. Spent the time to put it in the clock I was repairing only to find out it doesn’t work. Sure wish I’d stuck in a battery before all the efforts. Seller will replace but need to return the broken one 1st. Kind of a pain I’ll take it apart this weekend and ship it back I guess.

Overall, this is a good clock motor. It keeps accurate time with the hour and minute hands. The second hand seemed to struggle so I removed it. Going from “second to none” did the trick.

Had a clock I bought in 2003 that stopped keeping time. The clock has 17" hands so I wondered if this would have enough torque to turn them. Installed and the clock works perfectly.

I have a pretty large full wall clock with big 18" and 12" clock hands and this thing is awesome. It is easy to install and accurate. It has a fairly good sheerness by being thin and fine but it is NOT translucent. Amazon asked me to rate it on sheerness for some deeply odd reason.Regardless, I would definitely but this again. If you are replacing one of these please, please make sure that you have the exact thread type and the center shaft is the exact length you need.

I used this TAKANE clock motor on a large clock with an 18 inch long minute hand. I epoxied a heavy washer at the non-pointy end of the minute-hand to balance it. Balanced hands remove the strain that is placed on the clock motor when the hands move between 35 minutes after the hour to 55 minutes after the hour. The motor is silent. There were no clock hands offered in the description of this clock motor, and no hands were sent. The motor has the capability of having a "second" hand in addition to the hour and minute hands that you provide. The kit comes with an "open" minute-hand securing nut for applications with a second hand, and a "closed" cap-like nut for uses without the second hand. The clock is keeping perfect time during the last two weeks. I will update this review if the motor fails.
