As suggested by our local funeral home, we found this item cheaper on Amazon than in their showroom. They were also kind to provide us with two of the Marine Corp. emblems with which to decorate the urn. The magnetism worked well!

Great Ammo can, seals well, painted well, no flaws, perfect. This is my third can from this supplier, reasonable price, great quality and fast shipping.

I recently acquired a Sig 40 S&W and needed a new can for the ammo. I bought this as I have some in green that I engraved and are good, but a little hard to see against the dark color of the can. I wanted a lighter color so the engraving would stand out more. I couldn't be more pleased. The paint is good enough to not burn while laser engraving. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future as I need them.

Very sturdy and also a very good investment considering the cost of the ammunition in each ammo can is 15-20X the price of the can. Make sure you order the “new and unused” cans. Also, understand that the “tan” cans are lighter in color than actual FDE (flat dark earth). The cans have a good solid rubber gasket, sturdy hinge, and strong closing clasp. The two tan cans I ordered were individually packed in bubble wrap and arrived as advertised. Ordered late on a Friday evening and arrived on Sunday morning with Amazon Prime Delivery. I will definitely order some more...as soon as I can get more ammo.

Can is sturdy and has very good coat of paint. I am very pleased with it and I think $25 for it is a good value. I opened the box and there was only the 50 cal... was hoping they put the 30 cal inside the 50 cal can but alas no.... it was just the 50 cal. Can. However the picture for the product has both 30 cal and 50 cal cans and has “and” in the title. I thought it was a super deal for two cans. The two can deal is actually $19 more at about $44. So in the end, I am still satisfied but I think they should change the picture to a single can.

The body and lid of the M2A1 container that I received are in pristine condition. The rubber gasket is like new and produces a watertight seal. The desert tan paint is thick and even, but there are some racking marks on the latching mechanism in the form of chipped paint with sharp pokey bits sticking out where you grab it and there are a few scratches that were sloppily covered up with a noticeably different color of paint. If you need a like-new can in a non standard color then you could probably do worse, but there are better deals out there if you just need some secure storage.

The width at the bottom of the can measures very close to what the army surplus measure which is 5 5/8.durability seems to be the same the rubber gasket on the lid that seals the can seems to be made out of a different rubber material it seems just as durable however it is a softer rubber than the surplus military cans seems as though it'll last just as long time will tell. And the concern that people have about the lids detaching they're made to detach from the bottom portion of the can and the lids do not just spring off when you open the can you can open the can it is tension-type meaning that when you release the latch it does spring or can of bounce open but the lid doesn't fall off of the hinges like some people are suggesting unless you don't have it on level ground.so far I see nothing wrong with this can it looks like it will hold up very well and do everything the surplus cans do. Not to mention you don't have to worry about Rust and debris inside your cans that you have to clean out. We'll update this review of anything changes but so far five out of five. He's also work great with the MTM case Gard system which you can find online at MTM case-gard.com.these metal cans measure very close and width to the army surplus cans which MTM is made to fit with also the height of these cans is probably around a quarter of an inch taller than the military surplus cans that I have which doesn't really matter unless you have limited height in terms of storage where you place your cans.! Buy with confidence. No issues here.

Hey guys, first off, this ammo box is as good as any other at least upon initial inspection. They use some low-odor paint as mine had virtually no paint odor when opening. Anyway, it's an ammo box, nuff said. Good price yada yada.I've included a series of pictures with how you can keep the lid from sliding out, the hinges on these units are all identical, the lid is designed to easily come off. For those of us who want to keep the lid on all the time, and want a mechanical fastening, this'll work.1. 1-1/4" #6-32 screw:Any form of 1-1/4" #6-32 screw will work, I happen to have a bag of 2mm button head socket cap screws laying around. You could probably use a 1-1/2" it'll just be a bit tighter clearance to the adjacent hinge.2. #6-32 nylon lock nut:You'll want a lock nut for this because you won't be torquing the nut against the hinge, and if you do it'll just work itself loose in time.3. 1/8" pin punch:Any suitable means of punching the pin out will work, but this will be easiest.4. HammerFirst punch out the pin on one end. Then mate the lid to the body and slide your screw through, there will be 1/4" or so sticking out, thread on the nut, then use pliers to tighten it down. Done, lid can't fall off, and the screw diameter won't cause any binding.
