This tape measure has proven to be quite reliable for most of my projects. The easy-to-read markings, especially with the added fractions, make it incredibly simple to get accurate measurements without second-guessing. The 16-foot length is more than adequate for most tasks, whether you’re working on home improvements or simple DIY projects. The tape extends smoothly, and the locking mechanism holds it in place well, ensuring precise measurements every time.However, I did notice that the tape could be a bit sturdier. While it works great for straight measurements, it tends to bend or twist slightly when extended to its full length, making it a bit challenging to measure longer distances without help. Despite this minor issue, the overall quality of the tape measure is solid, and it’s a handy tool to have in any toolbox. For the price, it’s definitely a good buy, and I’m generally satisfied with its performance.

I like the gradations of inches ONLY (no metric), with 8ths-of-an-inch subdivisions shown for every inch. The lock mechanism requires a bit more strength to set that I'm used to, but it locks securely with an audible click. I love it!

The extension strength and length of this tape left me awestruck. It performs better than most name-brand costly tapes do. At 8' out horizontally the tape does not collapse, on the one I bought anyway. Markings are clear and retraction works quite well so far. If the majority of this model perform as mine does, I don't see how this value can be beat.

at this price point, one would think that this would be cheap and fragile but it's the opposite. it has heft to it, is well made and will last as long as the higher priced versions. tape stays put while measuring unless you release it. i had to replace one that an heir to the estate where i am executrix removed it along with other items from the home of the loved one. as for this solid performer, i would not hesitate to purchase again.

I needed a basic, cheaper tape measure for one that I could just use around the house and this is the cheapest one I could find on Amazon. I am impressed overall with the quality and size of the tape measure given the cheaper price! It’s got a great tape length range, good lock feature, and the numbers are easy to read.
