It’s my 3rd Tascam TM-70. I do have those great name brands as well. Tascam TM-70 does the job for what was designed for ( read the specs and polar pattern). Sound , construction quality is superb!. Yes! Be smart! Learn about your room or work area noise level, learn about proper mic placement, learn about mic proximity, learn about proper gain structure , learn your audio mixer and DAW by the book. Do all that and enjoy the great results and way less post production.Oh by the way, for a good podcast , live stream , documentary or just home recording? Buy a Tascam TM-70 , then you need to plan the radio script , radio copy or how ever you want to call that paper that tells you what to read, place the commas and periods properly for a great audio recording and less stop and re-record.Is not only about the microphone, is also about planning, record , playback to listen the product in few sources such as phone , car stereo etc. when happy? Export the audio file in a good audio file format Thank you.

I don't know very much about mics but I like this mic as much as my 6 behringer mics I have , I mainly use it for guitars even at full price it's not a bad mic or price

I bought three of these TM-70 microphones. As with all mics it comes down to what the application you are using it for. Since I use microphones for voice only I found these have a clear articulate sound. I use the dbx 286s processor for all microphones so the sound can be tailored a bit. For the price of $79 you get a lot, the mic.,shock mount, cable and a small table stand.
