Direct replacement for any turning tool using 12mm round inserts... Nice and sharp out of the box, looks like they have as much life in them as the name brand replacement. I've used them now for wood, urethane, and even our special M3 turning material and they held up great to everything. MUCH more friendly on the wallet than buying the individual cutters.

This is a good set of diamond shaped carbide inserts for lathe tools. They are very sharp, especially the point. I have to be a little careful so they don't catch when I'm turning because I'm used to the diamond cutters with a round end. The point on these makes it possible to get really good dovetails for connecting to a lathe chuck. The cutter fits both the tool bar and screw of my Vinwox turning tool.

got some HSS inserts and they are so-so, these are night and day it just eats the wood, with how fast it works need to get something to handle the chips, that pile of chips is from about 20 minutes of getting the blank to round and started the bowl

I like it when something turns out even better than I thought it would be! These come with an impeccable mirrored Titanium finish that bespeaks the quality of these carbide cutters. Very impressive . . . oh, and they work good too! Recommended for sure!
